Back-to-School Information for 2016-2017​


  • School starts on Monday, August 29, 2016
  • School hours:  7:45 am to 2:05 pm (students must be seated in homeroom at 7:45 am)  Drop-off begins no earlier than 7:15 am
  • Starting this year, each BMS student will be issed a Chromebook.
    • 6th graders will be issued their Chromebooks on locker day, Monday, August 22 from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm in the BMS library (if they can come) or during the first days of school
    • CHROMEBOOK forms:  Chromebook forms are now available!  If you are a 6th grade family and are coming to Locker Day/Chromebook distribution, please complete the form and bring it with you (if you are able).  If not, forms will be available on Chromebook distribution day.  Click here for the form and more information.  Insurance information to come.
    • 7th & 8th graders will be issued their Chromebooks during the first days of school
    • More information will be sent to families soon regarding insurance, etc.
  • Bus schedules are typically available the week before school starts and may be found in the Barrington Times Newspaper (comes out on Wednesdays so look for the August 24 edition possibly).  They will also be posted online under the "Transportation" section of the district website at
  • Cluster assignments:  letters are scheduled to be mailed on or after August 10.  A welcome letter/supply suggestions will be included from each cluster.
  • Summer Learning:  Don't forget about the Summer Learning assignments!  They may be found by clicking here or at
  • Free/Reduced Lunch:  Applications may be found by clicking here or are available in the BMS office.
